A Few More Yosemite

Fishing (in Yosemite) With Daddy

There is something so amazing about watching Josh and Micah fish with Jim. Jim always seems so at home on the river. There is a peace and thrill he finds somewhere between the sounds of the river and the challenge of catching the fish. It is always such a restorative, life-giving time. He is now passing this love for the sport along to Josh and Micah. Josh got his first fly rod and has started tying his own flies. I think he likes the artistic side of fly tying and the adventure side of fly fishing. It's so fun seeing Jim soak in this time with the boys. And it's so fun watching Josh find his own kind of peace and thrill.

Smores, Bears and Badges

Can you believe the dirty camping fingernails?? Yikes!

What could make camping better than eating smores, sighting bears and earning Junior Ranger Badges? We loved every minute of it!

Big Trees in Yosemite

Yosemite

At the start of summer vacation we took a quick camping trip to Yosemite. Here are a few pictures of the views. The last shot was from our campsite at sunset.

Boise Part Two

Boise Part One

The boys and I spent 5 days in Boise with my sister's family. What a gift to be with family. The boys had so much fun playing with their cousins - as you can tell from the pictures! Thanks for having us Holmbergs. We love you guys!

Picking Strawberries

Crud War at Woodleaf

Mail

The boys made this mailbox a few months ago. Occasionally the mail person leaves mail for them or a neighbor might leave a penny or a note in it. They check each day to see if anything has arrived. It is kinda like me, checking to see if there are any comments on our blog - wondering if anyone is still reading. After not posting for a few months I wouldn't blame anyone for giving up. For anyone still reading...you can leave comments even if you don't have a blogger account. You just log in as anonymous and sign your name at the bottom. :) Let us know if your still there!
