A Pirate's Life For Me

Argh, a pirate's life for me! Me pirates have emerged from three days of sickness. The past few days our boys have mostly been lying on the couch. Today they must be feeling better because they turned our bed into a pirate ship - complete with flag, anchor and treasure chest. Don't mess with these pirates!

A Day at the Beach

Birthday Lunch

Jim and the boys took me to lunch in Malibu for my birthday. We went to a restaurant called Duke's right on the waterfront. It was one of those amazing moments in life. I looked up at Jim while we were eating and noticed we both had 'happy tears' in our eyes. I was overwhelmed by this feeling of how can I be so blessed? There I sat with the most amazing husband and two wonderful boys - looking out at the stunning ocean. God has truly blessed me beyond my imagination. Thank you, Lord. I am so unworthy... yet, you lavish your love on me.

Doesn't God make you smile?

My Friends Tigger and Pooh

Josh drew these pictures awhile ago. But I think they are great!

Boys, Water and Hiking

We went for a short hike on Saturday with some friends from Fuller. We stopped at a small waterfall and watched the kids splash, get dirty and make toys out of sticks and rocks. I loved the simplicity and delight found while playing in God's creation.

Back in CA?

Yes! We are back in California. Although with the snow in this picture...you wouldn't know it! We spent the past two weekends in this cabin at Forest Home. Jim was the camp speaker so the boys and I got to go along. It was such a blessing to be in such a peaceful place. Jim had a great time speaking, the boys loved playing in the mountains and I loved a quiet place to retreat. God was at work doing great things in the lives of middle school kids and ours!

Ice Skating

We took the boys ice skating for the first time. Micah was not so fond of the experience, but Josh loved it!
