Pirate Party

For Josh's birthday we went to a park and celebrated pirate style. The kids had fun dressing up like pirates and searching for the hidden treasure (the pinata). Our friends Brooke and Nolan came and helped us with the party. They were a big hit with the kids! It was also extra special to have my mom (Omi) here to help us celebrate! Thanks for coming Omi! A friend loaned us her map to create a treasure hunt for the kids!
The loot!

Josh asked for brownies instead of cupcakes!

Yeah for Brooke and Nolan! Don't they make great pirates!

Seven

Seven years ago this little baby came into our lives -screaming. And he screamed and he screamed. I thought he would never stop screaming. But he did. Today, his personality seems totally opposite from that screaming baby. He amazes me. He has an incredible tender heart, fun humor, caring spirit, creative mind and he knows how to be a great friend. I am proud of him and who God is growing him up to be. Thank you Lord, for the gift of a screaming baby and the boy that his is growing into. I love you Josh. Happy Birthday!

Making a Pinata Treasure Box

For Josh's birthday he made his own pinata out of paper mache. I love the finished product!

Four and A HALF

When we asked Micah to put on his pants the other day, he burst out in tears saying, "You don't understand Mom! Those pants are size 4. I just turned 4 1/2 yesterday. I can't wear those pants anymore!!" Imagine if all our sizes were dictated by our age.
